Anne-Marie Rojahn TCRG

Anne-Marie is a registered teacher (TCRG) with the Irish Dancing Commission CLRG (An Coimisiún) in Dublin, Ireland. She studied with Kathleen and Michael Maguire (both grade examiners, adjudicators and teachers) at the renowned Maguire O'Shea Academy of Irish Dance in Essex, London. She passed her TCRG in 2004 and has since fully dedicated herself to teaching in Switzerland. Anne-Marie made history with CLRG by being the first ever mainland European and Swiss to have passed the teachers exam.

Anne-Marie started out her career as an avid gymnast. She was trained by her dad and took up the sport at the tender age of five. In addition she also focused on tower diving and figure skating.

For many years she studied tap dance with Sharron Roberts (Royal Academy of Dance, London) and after her move to Switzerland she joined "beat-the-tap" in Basel, receiving intense tuition from Andreas Jakopec, Swiss Tap Dancing Champion and top 10 dancer at the World Tapdancing Championships.

She founded her own dance academy in 2000, danced in shows both nationally and internationally, and organised a vast number of Irish dance workshops.
Organizing the "Eire Born Irish Dance Show" for EXPO.02 became her yet greatest challenge. For a week the one hour dance- and music show was performed 12x on the main stage at the Expo Arteplage in Neuchâtel, CH.
Some of her students also have plenty of experience in film and television work.

Anne-Marie is a qualified radiographer and works in nuclear medicine & radiology in her parttime. She also studies medicine at the University of Basle.
